Why use Punch Plate?

Punch Plate (also known as perforated plate) is ideal for highly abrasive materials, however, it is heavy and has a lower open area than woven wire screen media. 

Use Punch Plate on the feed end of the screen to take the brunt of the impact and separate oversized material from undersized particles. Use Unified’s woven wire cloth on panels further down the feed and on lower screen decks to maintain the highest open area for maximum production.

A common application is on scalping screens, after raw materials have passed through primary crushers.
